Happy New Year World! With the birth of a new year we'd like to launch the birth of the AIESEC Egypt MC blog.

A platform where all of AIESEC Egypt's generation of MC teams will be able to share their personal stories, inspirations, feelings, goof -offs, questions to the world, etc ...Where you get to know the people behind the title and their mottos for their terms and future AIESEC paths...
not only that but you can reply to our posts and interact informally with us not through AIESEC.net :P

Yet to start off the 1st post on our blog it would be shameful if we skip the intro of who we are ...
In the next couple of days the MC will slowly introduce itself one-by-one our 7 member team (5 MCEB and 2 NST!!!!).

Yet now we'll introduce ourselves as a team...MC of AIESEC Egypt 06-07 is here to BREAK THE STEREOTYPE...

But do you have any idea what that means?
.
According to Encarta a STEREOTYPE is...
A preformed and unsubstantiated judgment or opinion about an individual or a group, either favorable or unfavorable in nature. In modern usage, however, the term most often denotes an unfavorable or hostile attitude toward other people based on their membership in another social or ethnic group.
.
So when we say we want to break the stereotype, the MC refers to the stereotypes towards everything negative shot at us by global, local or individual entities... whether its towards Egypt as a country, towards us as an MC entity, towards us as AIESECers, etc
.
We strive each day to break those stereotypes ((and break the records :P)) and with any failures we face towards holding true to our motto, we get up and fight back until it breaks.

...WE'RE ONLY HERE FOR 6 MORE MONTHS...SO EVERY LC, AND EVERY MEMBER WE INVITE YOU TO JOIN TOGETHER IN THE MC MOTTO AND HELP YOUR LC BREAK THE STEREOTYPE ANY ENTITIES HAVE TOWARDS YOUR LC's, members, outgoing trainees, servicing and intern expereinces, LC results, member quality and growth, image to the corporate sector and alumni, etc
.
6 months left for the end of our term.
6 months left for a new LEADRSHIP team... with a new motto.
6 months left to BREAK THE STEREOTYPE.

stereotypes are often untrue, does that mean that untill you break it you are the stereotype?

Thanks for your comments...well Luli in regrads to your question. No we aren't the stereotypes and yes they are a majority of the time untrue...It is nothing but a perception laid down by others from one generation to another...so our role if you can imagine it like this...as the stereotype being a glass seethrough ball of "unrealness" we're just slamming it against hard ground.
